The official description gives you three threats: residents, the police and their dogs, and the sniper if the debt stays unpaid. The badges add arrest, a shoot-on-sight status, and a station break-in. Together they are the heat system this alpha has actually named.
Residents
You are told to sneak past residents. Official art shows a resident asleep in bed, with Zs overhead, next to a money bag. That is the quiet case. The description does not say whether noise, flashlights, or broken glass wake them, and this site will not invent a sound meter.
If someone wakes up, leave with what you can still sell. A deadline failure costs the haul the description is built around. There is no published "second chance" timer.
Police, dogs, and arrest
You are told to outrun the police and their dogs. The night-street thumbnail shows a police car behind a crew that is holding cash. Dogs are named in the description and do not have a separate badge.
BUSTED! is "Got arrested. Haha!" Arrest is common on the 2026-10-28 statistics snapshot: 487,067 awards, with the platform win-rate field at 100%. That figure means the platform associates the badge with essentially the whole player pool it measures. It does not mean every night ends in cuffs, and it does not mean arrest is permanent.
Most Wanted says "Feared criminal (Shoot on sight)." Once you have that status, the badge text says you are shot on sight. It does not say how you clear it, how long it lasts, or whether selling loot removes it.
Inside the Station means you broke into the police station. That is a chosen risk, not the same event as getting arrested on the street.
The sniper and the debt
"Pay off the debt or face the sniper" is the creator's line. Sniped says "Live by the sniper, die by the sniper." On the same snapshot the badge had 196,501 awards and a 43.4% platform win-rate field, so sniper deaths are a normal outcome, not a rare glitch.
Debt Free is the Classic escape from that bill: "You completed Classic mode. You are a free man." Hard and Pro have their own win badges. None of them print the debt balance. Watch the debt number the server shows, and sell toward it before you start a harder mode.
What to do when the night turns
- If you are unseen, keep looting only while you still have time to sell.
- If residents or police see you, move the loot you already picked up toward the sell step. A partial sale beats a wipe you cannot document a recovery for.
- If the screen says you are most wanted, assume you can be shot on sight and stop treating the street as a stealth route.
- If the sniper warning is up, the unpaid debt is the problem the description named. More stealing without a sale does not, by itself, clear that line.
- Arrest is a badge people get. Rejoin and sell earlier on the next job rather than looking for an unpublished pardon item.
Body Armor and Extra Med Kit are the only passes that talk about protection or healing, and neither one prints a health value. They are not a substitute for selling on time.
